CSDy GRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have completed a masters degree in one of the related fields of engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or physics. Masters degrees with an emphasis in control science and/or dynamical systems can be earned in any of these fields at the University of Minnesota. An applicant with a masters degree in another area whose scientific, mathematical, and/or engineering background is adequate to pursue the program also is considered. A high level of proficiency in mathematics is necessary to successfully complete the Ph.D. program. Applicants are strongly encouraged to obtain a faculty adviser before formally applying to the program.
